Sarah Goss started playing violin, piano and harp as a child and went on to earn her BA in Music at York University, UK. She then moved to Dubai, UAE to perform as a soloist and half of the Lorelei Flute & Harp Duo. She was resident harpist at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the Emirates Towers and at the Burj al Arab when it was the first and only 7-Star hotel in the world. Here she began to make her unique arrangements of modern pop songs - some of which are featured on her 2016 Album 'Engagements'. 

In 2002 Sarah moved to Bangkok, Thailand to set up and teach in the Tamnak Prathom Harp Centre. There she wrote teaching material for the center and gave recitals at the Siam Society, the Dusit Thani Hotel and the Tamnak Prathom Palace and also performed with the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. In 2013 she returned to compere the 2nd International Thai Harp Competition.

Sarah was based in Oxford, England for 13 years where she regularly gave solo, duo and chamber music recitals, appeared as a concerto soloist, performed with various orchestras and ran a thriving teaching practice, regularly putting on masterclasses and workshops for her students. Also a qualified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, Sarah gave weekly classes in Thame, Henley and at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy.

In 2016 Sarah moved to San Francisco, California where she continued to perform and teach and was proud to be part of the UCSF Professional Harpists in Hospitals program. She was on the board of the Bay Area Chapter of the American Harp Society. She served as Competition Chair for the BACAHS Yvonne La Mothe Schwager Competition for Young Harpists and was subsequently invited onto the judging panel in 2021. 

 

Sarah has toured all over the British Isles, Europe and in the USA with appearances on national television in the UK, Greece, the UAE and Thailand. She has played at a great many prestigious venues in the UK including the Houses of Parliament, the Royal Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall, Covent Garden, the Natural History Museum, Blenheim Palace, Cliveden, York Minster, the Sheldonian, the Bodleian Library and the JdP in Oxford, Wembley Arena, West Wycombe House (for HRH Princess Margaret) and Chequers (for British Prime Minister John Major). She has sailed all over the world as resident harpist on MV Saga Pearl. US venues have included San Francisco City Hall, the San Francisco Mint, San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts, Oakland Cathedral, New York Public Library, the Rockefeller Center and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens as well as many prestigious hotels and Wedding venues. 

Following two fantastic years in Brooklyn, NYC Sarah has recently moved to Greenwich, CT and looks forward to playing, teaching and getting involved in the local music scene very much!
